This material can also serve as an alternative to rubber and other plastics. Thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) are blends of hard thermoplastic materials (polypropylene, polyamide, poly(butylene terephthalate)) with soft rubber and the addition of modifiers and fillers.
Compared to PVC, TPE is more resistant to high and low temperatures and exhibits better flexibility.
