Bubble structure boards

12.07.2023

The bubble structure board, also known as honeycomb structure, resembles the structure of honeycombs. It is a type of cellular polypropylene from which boards are produced through the extrusion process. Air gaps created by a symmetrical pattern of indentations ensure a low weight of bubble boards, giving them a wide range of applications. They work excellently in packaging production. After fulfilling their purpose, these boxes can be entirely recycled to obtain new products.

Polypropylene has found application as a construction material due to its properties:

  • High chemical resistance to acids, bases, and salts.
  • Low density
  • High strength
  • High tensile strength
  • Very good insulation properties
  • High flexibility
  • Excellent weldability
  • Moderate wear resistance
  • 100% recyclability

#PolmarPack utilizes this type of boards for box production.
